Here’s the mother of sloping building sites: When we say that we can deal with difficult building sites or sloping blocks we really mean it! This river front site at Highgate Hill just south of the city has to be the mother of them all.
Our clients had owned this riverfront parcel for many years. Most of the neighbourhood thought that the land was parkland, totally in disbelief that anyone could build there. In truth it comprised private property and a gazetted road however the Council declined to build the road despite repeated requests.
Previous contractors contacted by our clients had simply walked away shaking their heads. Just to access the property was a major headache, before you could even contemplate building. We finally managed to get Council’s agreement to construct the road so that our clients were able to access their 2 vacant lots. It’s June 2014 & we’re on the job.
